Chris Evans
CEO
The mind behind it all, Chris has owned Sangiovese since the summer of 2007. After a rich history of restaurant ownership, he went all in to Sangiovese and never looked back! With a heartfelt emphasis on culture and atmosphere, Chris has fostered a community that feels like family - in our staff and customers alike! He continues to wow the Indy food scene with well curated dining experiences, from unique wine offerings to beautifully crafted spaces. He also has spearheaded matadoronmain.com - a Spanish Tapas restaurant in Carmel!
Chris also loves to travel and spend time with his family, whether it’s snowboarding, wine tasting, or just enjoying a meal with his crew.

Connie Lyttle
Administrative Director
Where would we be without Connie? A beloved long time employee, Connie started working here as a bartender in 2007, while studying at IUPUI. (Fun fact - she worked with us at Ironworks through both of her pregnancies - and her boys are now teenagers!)
She is now the queen of the behind the scenes that allows Sangiovese to be what it is. And though she’s not bartending anymore, she could still set you up with your new favorite beverage - her’s being a nice glass of Brunello.
